Webinar on Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry Featuring Alumnus Dr. Belal Sahar, M.D.

Windsor University School of Medicine (WUSOM) will host an informational webinar for current and prospective medical students with alumnus Dr. Belal Sahar, M.D., WUSOM Class of 2023.

Dr. Sahar holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto, completed in 2018. His background strengthens his approach to clinical practice and highlights the role of neuroscience and psychiatry in modern medicine.

He will discuss the intersection of emergency medicine and psychiatry, focusing on strategies to strengthen continuity of care, reduce relapse rates, and support underserved communities. Attendees will learn how biological, psychological, and social factors shape patient outcomes, and how medical students can apply this knowledge to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
