Dr. Somashekar Shetty is Professor and Chair of the Department of Molecular Sciences at Windsor University School of Medicine (WUSOM), where he has been a faculty member since January 2025. He also serves as Chair of the Research and Research Education Committee and is a member of the Promotion Committee.

Dr. Shetty holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), where his doctoral research focused on wound healing and the antioxidant properties of indigenous medicinal plants. He holds an M.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry and a B.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry from Mangalore University.

With over 28 years of teaching and research experience across medical institutions in India, Malaysia, the Caribbean, and the United States, Dr. Shetty has taught Human Biochemistry to undergraduate medical students in diverse curricula including problem-based learning, integrated, and USMLE-preparatory programs. Prior to joining WUSOM, he held professorial appointments at Melaka Manipal Medical College (MAHE), the American University of Antigua, and Trinity Medical Sciences University.

Dr. Shetty is a Fellow of the Academy of General Education, Manipal (FAGE) and an approved Ph.D. supervisor at MAHE. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, and the International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds, with research interests spanning wound healing, phytomedicine, antioxidant biochemistry, and metabolic disorders. He serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals and has delivered invited lectures and judged poster sessions at national and international conferences.

Dr. Alessandra Polo

Dr. Alessandra Polo

Dr. Alessandra Polo is a molecular biologist whose research spans neuropeptide systems and  genomics. She earned her Ph.D. from the Max F. Perutz Laboratories (MFPL) at the University of Vienna, one of Europe’s premier molecular biology institutes, where her doctoral work focused on characterising ancient oxytocin/vasopressin-like and GnRH-like neuropeptide families in marine invertebrate models. Her training encompasses a sophisticated range of molecular techniques including TALENs-based genome editing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), immunohistochemistry, and Nanostring technology. She holds both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tor Vergata, Rome, each awarded with the highest distinction (110 cum laude).She has published in leading international journals including PNAS and Genetics.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Polo teaches Genetics and Biochemistry to MD1 and MD2 students.

Dr. Samira Abdul Wajid

Professor, Microbiology and Immunology | Director, Student Advisory and Support Programme (SASP) 

Dr. Samira Abdul Wajid is a board-certified specialist microbiologist with clinical and academic expertise in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. She holds an MBBS from MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, an MD in Microbiology from KVG Medical College, and a postgraduate certification in Evidence-Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM) from the Public Health Foundation of India. She is currently board-certified in Trinidad and Tobago and holds active specialist registration with the National Medical Council.With over a decade of teaching experience across medical institutions in India, the Caribbean, and the wider region, Dr. Wajid brings a broad international perspective to medical education. 

Her research interests centre on bacterial pathogenesis and antimicrobial resistance, with particular focus on Staphylococcus aureus, the subject of her MD thesis  as well as clinico-microbial profiling in ear infections, environmental health (mercury bioaccumulation in fish populations), and neuroprotective pharmacology. She has published across peer-reviewed journals in microbiology, otorhinolaryngology, and medical research.

Dr. Prashanth Kumar Guddeti

Dr. Prashanth Kumar Guddeti

Associate Professor, Department of Molecular Sciences — Microbiology & Immunology

Dr. Prashanth Kumar Guddeti is a clinical microbiologist specialising in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), molecular diagnostics, and laboratory quality management. He holds an M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, and a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Malwanchal University, Indore, where his doctoral research focused on phenotypic and genotypic characterisation of carbapenem resistance and biofilm production in clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii, a priority pathogen of global public health concern.

His research interests encompass AMR mechanisms, clinical bacteriology, tuberculosis diagnostics, parasitology, and infectious disease epidemiology. He has authored 15 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals and supervised 16 student research projects spanning India and Tanzania. He brings additional expertise in laboratory quality systems, having served as Quality Manager for a NABL-accredited BSL-2 molecular diagnostic laboratory.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Guddeti teaches Medical Microbiology and Immunology to MD3 and MD4 students, bringing over a decade of teaching and research experience across India, Tanzania, and the Caribbean.

Dr. Samith Ahmed

Professor and Chair, Department of Patho-Physiology/Professor of Pathology

Dr. Samith Ahmed is a board-certified pathologist with specialisation in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He holds an MBBS and the Fellowship of the Academy of General Education (FAGE) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and completed his MD in Pathology at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore. He holds active board certification in Trinidad and Tobago and with the National Medical Council of India.

His research interests span surgical pathology, haematology, cytopathology, transfusion medicine, and environmental health, with over a dozen peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals. His published work covers areas including histological characterisation of breast and thyroid lesions, malarial haematology, transfusion-transmitted infections, and neuroprotective pharmacology.

A recipient of the Best Teacher Award and the Award of Excellence for Good Practice, Dr. Ahmed has developed USMLE-integrated curriculum models across multiple Caribbean medical schools and has delivered invited lectures at institutions including St. George’s University. With over a decade of academic and clinical experience across the Caribbean and India, including prior service as Dean of Academics at two Caribbean medical institutions, Dr. Ahmed brings both scholarly depth and proven academic leadership to his role at WUSOM.

Dr. Maria Emilia Deogracias Taala Bayubay

Associate Professor, Department of Pathophysiology-Physiology

Dr. Maria Emilia Deogracias Taala Bayubay is a physician-educator with dual specialisation in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Human Anatomy. She holds a Doctor of Medicine from Angeles University Foundation (AUF), where she completed her residency training in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and is a Diplomate and Fellow of the Philippine Society of Anatomists. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Sciences (Public Health Promotion and Education) at Angeles University Foundation.

Her academic expertise spans human physiology, histology, embryology, and pathology, with an emerging research interest in public health behaviour theory and health promotion. She has authored four laboratory manuals in Gross Anatomy, Histology, Neuroanatomy, and Embryology, and has presented at national and international anatomical science conferences.Dr. Bayubay brings nearly two decades of teaching experience across medicine, anatomy, physiology, and allied health sciences, spanning institutions in the Philippines and the Caribbean. 

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Bayubay teaches Physiology across multiple organ-system modules to MD1 and MD2 students, and serves as Module Director for the Cardiovascular and Respiratory System and Endocrine and Reproductive System modules.

Dr. Subhadip Nandy

Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology

Dr. Subhadip Nandy is a physiologist with specialist training in human physiology across multiple organ systems. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Human Physiology from the University of Calcutta, and was awarded his Ph.D. in Physiology from Sunrise University, Rajasthan, in 2025. His research interests lie in occupational health and musculoskeletal physiology, with published work examining musculoskeletal disorders among occupational groups and the effects of yogic practices on adolescent wellness.

Dr. Nandy is a life member of the Physiological Society of India and the Association of Physiologists of India, and a member of The Physiological Society, London.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, he teaches Human Physiology to MD1 and MD2 students across a broad range of systems including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive physiology, and brings prior teaching experience from AIIMS Bhopal and institutions in Nepal and India.

Dr. Sreekrishna Penna

Associate Professor, Department of Pathophysiology

Dr. Sreekrishna Penna is a clinician-educator specialising in Pathology and medical education. He holds an MBBS from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, a Master’s in Medical and Health Professions Education (MMHPE) from Eastern Virginia Medical School / Old Dominion University, and is currently completing a Master’s in Clinical Pathology at Liverpool Academy, UK. He is registered with the Karnataka Medical Council and has held prior registration with the General Medical Council, UK.

His scholarly interests span curriculum design, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) education, clinical sciences integration, and equity in medical education. He has co-investigated active research studies at WUSOM on Basic Life Support knowledge and the experiences of medical students of colour studying abroad, and has presented at international conferences including AMEE and the Society of General Internal Medicine.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Penna teaches Pathophysiology and coordinates Internal Medicine Team-Based Learning for MD4 students. With approximately 20 years of teaching experience spanning St. Lucia, Trinidad, the UK, and St. Kitts, he brings a broad international perspective to both clinical and basic sciences education.

Dr. Adrian Nunez Quintana

Dr. Adrian Nunez Quintana

Professor of Pathology | Specialist in Anatomic Pathology

Dr. Adrian Nunez Quintana is a specialist pathologist with 28 years of diagnostic experience in surgical and anatomic pathology, cytopathology, clinicopathological correlation, and medico-legal autopsy. He holds a Doctor of Medicine and a First Degree Specialist qualification in Pathological Anatomy from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Santiago de Cuba, and a Master’s degree in Infectious Diseases from the Medical University of Santiago de Cuba. He also holds ISO 9000 Quality Control certification.

His clinical expertise encompasses surgical biopsy interpretation, general cytology, Pap smear evaluation, fine needle aspiration biopsy, and autopsy pathology. His research interests include oncological pathology, thyroid and prostatic disease, dermatopathology, and infectious disease epidemiology, with published work and institutional research projects conducted across Cuba, Ghana, and St. Kitts. He has been a practising pathologist at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, Basseterre, since 2009.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Nunez Quintana teaches Pathology to MD3 and MD4 students, bringing a distinctly international clinical perspective shaped by practice across three continents of Cuba, West Africa, and the Caribbean.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Nambi

Assistant Professor, Anatomical Sciences

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Nambi is a neuroscientist and anatomist specialising in cerebrovascular ischemia, neuroinflammation, neuroprotection, and behavioural neuroscience. He holds a Ph.D. in Anatomy from the University of Madras, where he was a DST-INSPIRE Fellow, a nationally competitive research award from the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology. He also holds a Gold Medal-winning M.Sc. in Anatomy in which he was the University First Rank Holder, and an MBA from Sathyabama University.

His doctoral research focused on cerebro-hemodynamic changes following cerebral ischemia, evaluating the neuroprotective potential of Fucoidan and Cerebrolysin in the MCAO stroke model, with implications for extending the therapeutic window for ischemic brain injury. He has published in high-impact journals including Brain Research, Neuroscience, and Nutritional Neuroscience, and serves as a peer reviewer for journals including the Journal of Ethnopharmacology.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Nambi teaches Gross Anatomy, Microanatomy, Embryology, Neuroanatomy, and Neuroscience to MD1 and MD2 students, and supervises student research through the Principles of Biomedical Research (PBMR) course. He brings over a decade of teaching and research experience spanning India and the Caribbean.

Ms. Anjuka Thanapal

Senior Lecturer & Histology and Anatomy Laboratory Director, Department of Anatomical Sciences

Ms. Anjuka Thanapal holds an M.Sc. in Medical Anatomy from the Dr. ALM PG Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras, where she graduated as University Second Rank Holder. She also holds a B.Sc. in Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology from Bharathiyar University, where she was University Third Rank Holder. Her academic research background spans neuropharmacology and animal models, with project work on testosterone supplementation and hippocampal synaptic plasticity presented at a national anatomy conference and Ayurvedic interventions in hypoxia models.

Her areas of teaching expertise include neuroanatomy, gross anatomy, embryology, and histological techniques including tissue staining, processing, and slide preparation. She participates actively in international neuroscience symposia and continues to develop professionally in molecular biology and neurobiological research.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Ms. Thanapal serves as Senior Lecturer and Director of the Histology and Anatomy Laboratory, delivering SGD and laboratory teaching to MD1 and MD2 students. She brings over a decade of teaching experience across medical, dental, physiotherapy, and paramedical institutions in India and the Caribbean.

Dr. C.B. Venkatesh Bheemaiah

Associate Professor, Anatomical Sciences — Embryology | Dean of Student Affairs

Dr. C.B. Venkatesh holds an MBBS from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, and a Diploma in Industrial Health from Bangalore Medical College. He is a registered physician with the Karnataka Medical Council with a background spanning occupational medicine, community health, and clinical education.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Venkatesh has served continuously for over 18 years, making him one of the institution’s longest-serving faculty members. He teaches Embryology to MD1 and MD2 students and serves as Dean of Student Affairs, overseeing student welfare, academic support, and progression across both the basic science and clinical phases of the programme. He has been recognised with four institutional teaching excellence awards including the Best Professor Award and the Students’ Choice Award.

Dr. Sampath Venkataswamy

Dr. Sampath Venkataswamy is a clinician-educator with dual postgraduate qualifications in Physiology and Psychiatry. He holds an MBBS from Sri Devaraja Urs Medical College, an MD in Physiology from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, and a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He has additionally completed a certified course in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

His research interests span autonomic physiology, cardiorespiratory fitness, clinical psychiatry, and medical education, with published work in peer-reviewed journals including the Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine and the Saudi Journal of Sports Medicine. He also brings industry research experience from Phases I–IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. He is currently Principal Investigator on two IRB-approved studies at WUSOM on Basic Life Support knowledge and problem-based learning practices among faculty.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Venkataswamy serves as Professor, Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Affairs, and Chair of both the Behavioural Sciences and Introduction to Clinical Medicine programmes. With over two decades of teaching experience spanning India, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts, he brings broad clinical and academic expertise to the institution.

Dr. Navin Ashok Patil

Dr. Navin Ashok Patil is a clinical pharmacologist with an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and an MD in Clinical Pharmacology from RGUHS/JJMMC, Davangere, where he graduated as University Sixth Rank Holder. He holds a Fellowship of the Academy of General Education (FAGE) from Manipal University, along with certifications in Bioethics and Biostatistics. He is a registered medical practitioner with the Karnataka Medical Council.

His research interests span clinical pharmacology, adverse drug reaction monitoring, pharmacovigilance, experimental pharmacology, and evidence-based therapeutics, with over 70 peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals. He has received research funding from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the International Telecommunication Union, and has been recognised as India’s Most Efficient Faculty and Most Productive Author in Pharmacology by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. He is a multiple Best Paper and Best Presenter award winner at international conferences in the UK and Thailand.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Patil serves as Professor and Chair of Preclinical Sciences, bringing over 15 years of teaching and academic leadership experience across India, Nepal, Dominica, and St. Kitts. He previously served as Dean of Basic Sciences and Acting Dean of Academic Affairs at All Saints University School of Medicine, Dominica. 

Dr. Jeanita W. Richardson

Adjunct Professor & Director of Community Outreach — Principles of Biomedical Research & Social Determinants of Health

Dr. Jeanita W. Richardson is a Professor Emerita of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Department of Public Health Sciences, and an internationally recognised scholar in health equity, community-based participatory research (CBPR), and social determinants of health. She holds a B.S. in Biology Education from Temple University, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, where her doctoral research examined the social consequences of lead poisoning in low-income children. She was designated a Center for Global Health Distinguished Scholar at the University of Virginia through a Provost Award.

Her research career spans child and adolescent health policy, public health surveillance, school-based health care, and population health, with over $4.3 million in externally funded research from the National Institutes of Health, HRSA, NSF, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. She has worked extensively with the Ministry of Health of St. Kitts and Nevis, and has led community health initiatives in both the Caribbean and South Africa. She is the author and editor of multiple books and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals on topics ranging from COVID-19 vaccine uptake and type 2 diabetes distribution to military family transitions and African American perceptions of health research participation. She was also invited by the Office of U.S. Senator Barack Obama to serve as a lead poisoning policy consultant.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Richardson serves as Director of Community Outreach and Adjunct Professor, teaching Principles of Biomedical Research and Social Determinants of Health to MD students, and leading the strategic development of WUSOM’s public health programme in partnership with the St. Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Health.

Dr. Shree Lakshmi Devi Singaravelu

Professor of Pharmacology | Associate Dean of Research | Chair, Basic Sciences Curriculum Committee (BSCC)

Dr. Shree Lakshmi Devi Singaravelu is a pharmacologist and health professions educator with a distinguished academic profile spanning pharmacology, research, and medical education innovation. She holds an MBBS from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, an MD in Pharmacology from Annamalai University, where she was awarded the Gold Medal and the Dr. L.B. Venkatrangan Cash Prize as the top scorer in postgraduate non-clinical sciences, a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, and an MPhil in Health Professional Education from Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth. She has also completed the AMEE Essential Skills in Medical Education (ESME) programme and holds advanced training in pharmacovigilance and clinical research.

Her research interests span pharmacovigilance, phytopharmacology, tuberculosis drug adherence, and medical education innovation. She has received extramural research funding from the Tuberculosis Association of India and the Indian Council of Medical Research, holds copyright on three original intellectual works including the Hide and Seek Teaching Method (HSTM) and the STARS drug adherence rating scale, and has developed six original educational frameworks. She has published 27 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals including PubMed and Scopus-indexed publications, and contributed a chapter to a Springer Nature publication on grant writing for healthcare professionals.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Singaravelu serves as Professor of Pharmacology, Associate Dean of Research, Chair of the Basic Sciences Curriculum Committee, and Module Director for the Respiratory and Nervous System modules. With over a decade of teaching and academic leadership experience across India, Mauritius, and the Caribbean, she brings exceptional depth in curriculum design, faculty development, and research capacity-building.

Dr. Shanti Gurung

Associate Professor of Pharmacology

Dr. Shanti Gurung is a clinical pharmacologist with a BDS from City Dental College, Dhaka, and an MD in Clinical Pharmacology from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Hospital Administration from JSS University, Mysore. She holds active registration with both the Nepal Medical Council and the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

Her research interests span adverse drug reactions, experimental pharmacology, antimicrobial therapeutics, phytopharmacology, and neuropharmacology. She has contributed to multiple funded research projects through Manipal University and Universal College of Medical Sciences, and has published 12 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals covering topics including toxic epidermal necrolysis, anticonvulsant pharmacology, oncology, and cardiomyopathy. She was awarded Best Content Award at an international medical sciences conference in Manchester, UK.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Gurung teaches Pharmacology to MD3 students through lectures and small group discussions, bringing over a decade of teaching experience across Nepal, Dominica, and St. Kitts.

Dr. Shakeel Ahmed

Professor, Clinical Skills & Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM)

Dr. Shakeel Ahmed is a clinician-educator with over four decades of medical and academic experience spanning Pakistan, Canada, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. He holds an MBBS from Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, a postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics (MCPS) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, a Certificate in Paediatric Gastroenterology from the University of London, and a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) designation from McMaster University, Canada. He has also completed the Clinical Simulation Educators Programme at the Aga Khan University and holds a certification in Health Professions Education from Baqai Medical University.

His research contributions include published work on cardiac pharmacology, infectious disease management, and a publicly funded Public Health Guide for South Asians produced in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada. He has served as a Module Director for Cardiology and as a Research Committee member at the American University School of Medicine, Aruba, where he was also recognised with the Best Teacher Award in 2024.

Dr. Jayalaxmi Chikka Bheemaiah

Dr. Jayalaxmi Chikka Bheemaiah is a physician-educator with a clinical background spanning paediatrics, general practice, and public health. She holds an MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University, and has completed specialist training in forensic medicine, sexual assault examination, and community mental health through programmes at WUSOM and NIMHANS, Bangalore.

Her clinical career has spanned India, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the Caribbean, including eight years as a District Medical Officer with the Nevis Island Administration, where she delivered primary and preventive healthcare services to the Nevisian community. She brings particular expertise in OSCE design and delivery, clinical clerkship administration, and ICM curriculum development.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Jayalaxmi has served since 2012, initially as Assistant Professor of Pathology and subsequently in her current dual role as Associate Professor of Introduction to Clinical Medicine and Assistant Dean of Clinical Sciences. In this capacity she oversees clerkship operations, rotation scheduling, and exit OSCE examinations across WUSOM’s clinical sites including Jamaica. She also coordinates the Students for Health (SFH) community outreach programme on the island of St. Kitts, and serves as a SASP student mentor. She brings over 18 years of combined clinical and teaching experience.

Dr. Oluwabusola Oluwafunmilayo Osimosu

Clinical Tutor, Introduction to Clinical Medicine

Dr. Oluwabusola Oluwafunmilayo Osimosu is a physician-educator and WUSOM alumna, having completed her Doctor of Medicine at Windsor University School of Medicine. She holds a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Second Class Upper Honours) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Angeles University Foundation, Philippines. Her academic journey was recognised through the Dr. Gaddam Academic Excellence Scholarship Award during her medical training.

Her research interests span medical education, student mental health and wellbeing, and public health, with published work examining the relationship between romantic relationships and academic performance in medical school, and the effects of caffeine on faculty academic performance.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Osimosu teaches Introduction to Clinical Medicine, She also serves as Secretary of the Faculty Senate and Director of the Students for Health (SFH) community outreach programme, through which she trains medical students in practical clinical skills and coordinates health screening initiatives for the St. Kitts community.

Dr. Chinelo Cleopatra Josiah

Tutor, Department of Biomedical Sciences – ICM

Dr. Chinelo Cleopatra Josiah is a WUSOM alumna, having completed her Doctor of Medicine at Windsor University School of Medicine in 2023. She also holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Unicaf University, bringing an interdisciplinary perspective that extends to her interest in healthcare technology and digital health systems.

Her research contributions focus on public health and global health systems, with published work in peer-reviewed journals including the Annals of African Medicine, the Nigerian Health Journal, and PLOS Global Public Health, covering topics such as COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and public attitudes, vaccine confidence among nursing students, technology integration in healthcare, and healthcare financing in Nigeria.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Josiah serves as Tutor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, facilitating Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and Pharmacology TB. She also coordinates the Research Presentation Series and co-coordinates the Student/Faculty Research Symposium, and is a member of the Curriculum Committee.

Dr. Iveren Deborah Yange

Tutor, Department of Biomedical Sciences – ICM

Dr. Iveren Deborah Yange is a WUSOM alumna, having completed her Doctor of Medicine at Windsor University School of Medicine in 2021. She joined the faculty in 2023, bringing a perspective shaped by her own experience as a student at the institution she now serves.

At Windsor University School of Medicine, Dr. Yange teaches Introduction to Clinical Medicine in the Endocrine and Reproductive System module for MD2 and MD4 students. She is an active member of the Basic Science Curriculum Committee, the Positive Learning Environment Committee, and the Faculty Senate, and serves as a SASP mentor for basic science students. She has completed ACGME-sponsored continuing medical education in workplace-based assessment, medical trainee mental health, and wellness in medical education.
