The Canadian Institute of Management and Technology (CIMT) is a Registered Career College under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005, with campuses in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, and Hamilton. CIMT offers a wide range of diploma programs and certificate courses in Business, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, Trades, Legal Studies, and Healthcare. Among these offerings, the Pre-Medical Program is formally affiliated with Windsor University School of Medicine (WUSOM).

Admission into Canadian medical schools is highly competitive, with thousands of qualified applicants competing for a very limited number of seats each year. Through the affiliation between CIMT and Windsor University School of Medicine, students now have access to an alternative, structured pathway to pursue a medical degree. Students who complete the CIMT Pre-Medical Program with the required GPA and meet WUSOM’s admission criteria may progress directly into the 4-year MD program.

This pathway allows Canadian students to seamlessly transition into medical school. The WUSOM MD program consists of 20 months of Basic Sciences delivered on the university’s campus in St. Kitts, followed by two years (72 weeks) of clinical rotations in the United States.

Upon completing the MD program, graduates are eligible to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) as well as the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examinations (MCCQE). These credentials enable graduates to compete for residency positions in the respective countries in which the examinations were completed.
