What is the four-stage academic pathway for students from Qatar?

Students from Qatar begin their journey through a local academic affiliation, where foundational coursework is completed close to home. From there, the pathway progresses in stages toward full enrollment on the WUSOM campus in St. Kitts, where basic sciences training continues, followed by clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals. Where do students complete their clinical rotations?

Basic science education is completed on the WUSOM campus in St. Kitts. Clinical rotations then take place at affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities in the United States, giving students hands-on training within U.S. clinical environments as they prepare for licensing examinations and residency.

Will I need a visa to study in St. Kitts or complete clinical rotations in the U.S.?

As an international student from Qatar, you will need the appropriate student visa to study in St. Kitts and, separately, a U.S. visa to complete clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals. Our admissions team provides step-by-step guidance through both visa processes, including documentation timelines, so you can plan your relocation with confidence.

Can WUSOM graduates apply for U.S. residency programs?

Eligible graduates pursue ECFMG certification and apply for residency training programs in the United States, subject to meeting all applicable requirements. As an international medical graduate, you’ll receive dedicated advising on how visa status and IMG pathways factor into your residency planning.

What are the admission requirements?
