  Successful Conclusion - 2009

Successful Completion of 2009

2009 an extremelysuccessful year
January 10 2010

The year 2009 has been an extraordinarily successful year for the Windsor University School of Medicine.
For the first time ever, more than a 2,000 students participated in the programs at Windsor University. Another momentous event was the extremely successful completion of the First phase and beginning of our second phase of construction. On top of those achievements, Windsor University had a record number of students passing US and Canadian Boards and getting into residencies.

Windsor University has invested 2 million dollars and added an off campus library for our students in Downtown of St. Kitts. This helps our students to access library till 2 am.

Windsor University has signed a contract with Royal Medical Tech Consultants to provide USMLE review. During this process Royal has invested 3 million dollars in Michigan to provide exclusive services to Students of Windsor University under the living and learning concept.

And the year 2010 looks as promising.

Early in the year, we will initiate a second and larger phase of the construction project in Cayon campus.  Together, our students around the world, in collaboration with faculty and administration from many  countries, will make major progress towards making Windsor University a leading world class medical university. We have launched new initiatives to strengthen support for the students that should blossom and we will put in practice many lessons learned to continue upgrading and improving the services at Windsor University.

Indeed 2009 has been a fine year for the students and staff at Windsor University. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a much better 2010. I wish you a year full of challenges, responsibilities and opportunities. A year to remember and a year to build upon.

For me it'll be a bit more difficult to keep in touch which means long days, long nights and little time for a life. Gone are my many options, my quiet life in the background. I now have more pressing requirements, more risk, more work, more noise.

Such is life. I hope I can rise to the challenge, or at least to be able to keep on ahead with my family, students and Windsor University as a whole.

But I urge you all to work hard and move on. From what I've seen, a medical profession is more needed than ever. There's a lot of thinking to be done; a lot of teaching, learning and sharing.

Please enjoy life and build a solid 2010.

All of this is only possible thanks to the dedication of students and  staff from all over the world.

Thank you and have a great year 2010.

Dr. Gaddam Srinivas
President
