Clinical Rotations
 

Students who successfully complete Basic Medical Sciences can enter into Clinical Clerkships. Student is required to complete 72 weeks of Rotations to Graduate from Windsor University School of Medicine. Out of 72 weeks student is required to complete 42 weeks of Core Rotations in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, OB / GYN  & Psychiatry. Students are required to complete 30 weeks of Elective Rotations in the interested fields.
Unlike other Medical Schools Windsor University Students do additional Rotations than the required minimum 72 weeks of Rotations. Students start doing rotations early in 3rd Semester when they start Para Clinical subjects. Students rotate in our parent affiliated teaching Government Hospital (JNF General Hospital) in St. Kitts. The additional rotations which students do are mostly Core Rotations. These Rotations are in addition to rotations done at major Teaching Hospitals in USA. The credits obtained at JNF General Hospital for additional Core Rotations are for Clinical Experience outside USA and also these credits are based on Rotation Evaluations, Assignments, Presentations, Clinical Lectures, Grand Rounds Attendance and Final Clinical Science Exam conducted by the Clinical Faculty of JNF General Hospital and Windsor University School of Medicine department of Clinical Sciences. 

All our students rotate in Teaching Green Book, ACGME Hospitals in USA. Some of these states where our students rotate are as follows:

  Following is the list of clinical cases to be seen by every student registered in the clinical sciences program of Windsor program of Windsor University School of Medicine. A detailed case report of the cases marked with asterix have to be submitted to the division of clinical sciences.  
     
Sample Clinical Case Reports  
  Students of Windsor University School of Medicine will take physical Diagnosis and Introduction to clinical medicine before they enter into clinical rotations. All students who rotate in US hospitals and elsewhere have to submit the case reports on the following cases marked with double asterix. In order to complete the clinical sciences at Windsor University School of medicine, every student is required to complete all the required core and elective rotations, submit the written case reports in the below selected cases and take the Clinical sciences exams conducted by the division of Clinical Sciences of Windsor University school of Medicine.
