History is a difficult place to be. But some memories are too sweet to let go. For instance, do you remember your first day studying pre-med? It can be a good memory or it can be one you wish had never happened. But in each case, you survived.

Whilst I type this post, you might be at the end of your college education and you might be wondering how many hours should a medical student study to enroll in a reputable international medical school. We have a good news for you. You are at the right blog post. After reading this blog post, you will know how hard a med school really is? And how to survive medical school in the 21st century.

Focus on one thing at a time: From day one you will be studying biochemistry, physiology, and anatomy. Next day you will begin your practical in brachial plexus and cardiac output. This is a large chunk of data overload. What you need is to focus on one thing at a time and move to another one.
Answer practice questions while you study: “Studying my notes 10 times is probably the best way to prepare for exams.” Wrong! For instance studying one thing again and again won’t make you any smarter, it will only consume your time and energy. You need to answer the practice questions while you are going through the chapter. You can take help from the internet and find various study tips for medical students. This will make you sharp.

Never compare your grades with your classmates: This is a no-brainer but worth talking about. Humans are balanced with various attributes. Some humans are great in theory while others balance that out with practical. You never know what you’re capable of if you keep regretting yourself based on the grades which others receive. A good practice is to compare your present with the previous version of yourself. Daily improvement is the key to getting ahead with your classmates.

Take time out for stress-relieving activities: Medical is a tough field. And if you do not take out some time to embrace the moment and enjoy your progress you will get crazy. From your day to day routine take some time off to do the things that relax your cerebrum. This will boost your ability to think clearly and be proactive in your class. But ensure that these activities do not diverge you from you from your actual goal.
